Honouring the writers of great fanfiction
The Golden Quills has been set up to honour the best fanfiction writers by recognising their talent. These Awards are issued by genre, so that every fandom can be included.
These Awards are intended to be annual, so missing out this year means there's an opportunity for inclusion in next year's Awards.
How does it work?
Every year, an announcement will be made on Fanfiction.net and on LiveJournal that the Awards are open for nominations. People who want to nominate their favourite writers and stories can go to the Awards page to nominate them, then, when the poll goes up, they can vote for them.

Who can nominate a story?

What do the winners get?
There's no prize as such, though winners will receive an icon, and their stories will be listed and linked here. All nominees will also have a link to their stories here. Winners will get their own profile page on the Archives of Excellence, where the best of their other stories will be listed and linked.
